This year, the July 4<sup>th<\/sup> holiday comes at an incredibly\ntransformative time in the Country\u2019s workforce, where we are seeing technology\nfundamentally change how people work, collaborate and earn a living. &nbsp; It\nis a time where the American worker is beginning to have the freedom to work on\ntheir terms and experience the benefits of flexible opportunities in their\njobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>People of all ages and without gender\ndistinction are demanding flex work arrangements and\nnumerous studies have identified the benefits of telecommuting and remote work,\nfor both the employee and employer.&nbsp; With technology today \u2013 which makes\nmanaging remote workers as easy as managing them in the office \u2013 those benefits\nare even more significant.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For every worker, it goes far beyond a better work\/life\nbalance.&nbsp; There are true health benefits for remote workers from reduced\nstress, less commuting to the basic fact that having flexible work schedule \u2013\nbased on your terms \u2013 gives you more time to take care of yourself and those\nyou love.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because of this, it should come as no surprise that time after\ntime surveys have found remote workers and telecommuters are more productive.\n&nbsp; <a href=\"https:\/\/globalworkplaceanalytics.com\/resources\/costs-benefits\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Global Workplace Analytics Costs &amp; Benefits<\/a> survey found that teleworkers at a number of\nFortune 500 companies are 35-40% more productive than employees in their office\nand more than two-thirds of employers saw increased productivity from their\ntelecommuters.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The growth of the gig economy is another trend\nthat points to the desire of Americans to work on their own terms.&nbsp;
