Bridging the Digital Divide Gap with #WFH

Streamed live on July 13, Silvina Moschini President & CoFounder of TransparentBusiness joins Jill Malandrino on Nasdaq #TradeTalks discusses a number of issues including ways to bring more women and minorities into the workforce and taking action on training skills for employability.

The 2020 COVID-19 pandemic has forced a sudden transition for companies to be moving to remote working models. “There is a big challenge for women and minorities in the workspace. We get paid less, we get less opportunities, and when a crisis hits, we are much more affected.” Minority workers are facing more challenges than their white counterparts and it’s in times of crisis where businesses and governments need to take action. Silvina discusses the benefits of upskilling programs, and opportunities for employers to provide proper training and tools for people to be successful in the digital economy.

“We can choose to see the glass half empty, or half full. I would like to see it half full and use the crisis as an opportunity to change and accelerate digital transformation and enable minorities with the tools, and knowledge they need so they can work from anywhere, not limited geographically by the opportunities that their markets offer”.
